  17. I've just got a Zip drive and I am having SCSI problems with it and
  18. my CD-ROM.

  20. My system is an A2000 with a GVP Series II controller. This has the
  21. factory installed hard drive and a Sony CD-ROM connected to it.

  23. When I plugged the Zip into the external SCSI port, my system refused
  24. to boot, it appeared to get to the bit where it scans the SCSI bus,
  25. and stopped with the SCSI light on constantly. If I disconnect the
  26. cable from the Zip, leaving it plugged into the controller, it still
  27. hangs. However if I disconnect the SCSI cable from the CDROM, then
  28. the system boots up and HDToolBox recognises the Zip.

  30. I have tried all combinations of termination on both the Zip and CD,
  31. there don't appear to be any resistors by the GVP external port, maybe
  32. they are in the connector and plugging the cable in disconnects them.

  34. Does *anyone* have *any* ideas on this one. Opening up my A2000 and
  35. removing the power supply/floppy drive chassis to plug in a cable
  36. every time I want to read a CD is not my idea of user-friendly.
